The City of Tsaghkadzor – a small Olympic town not far from Yerevan, is approximately an hour's drive away. The city's name is referred to as "the gorge of flowers" since it is blooming with various beautiful plants. According to the legend, these flowers were torn from the Pahlavuni princess' garden and scattered over the land by the wind. It is also home to the 11th century monastic complex of Kecharis, specially built by the royals to honor the 1000th anniversary of Jesus Christ. After Tsaghkadzor , you will visit Sevan Lake – “The Jewel of Armenia” or the “Geghama Sea” is one of the largest high-mountainous fresh water lakes in the world. Also, during this tour you will be able to participate in the master class on salt-baked fish and tasting.
