What To Expect

Cachi is the most beautiful town in the Calchaqui Valleys. Your trip begins in the Lerma Valley until El Carril, continuing to Chicoana. Access to the Quebrada de los Laureles and soon to the Quebrada de Escoipe. Then, you will arrive to the Maray entering Cuesta del Obispo, road with abundant curves from where you can contemplate a panoramic view of the Enchanted Valley. At Piedra del Molino you reach 3.384 meters above the sea level, the highest spot of the excursion. Soon Los Cardones National Park is crossed by the straight line of Tin-Tin, ancient Inca's road. Arriving in Cachi, you will observe a panoramic view of the Nevado de Cachi, and Payogasta. You will visit the Archaeological Museum of Cachi and the church. At the end of the day, you'll return to Salta through the same route.
