Puerto Madryn: Punta Tombo Penguin colony with visit to the Hidden Island

Not wheelchair accessible. Most travelers can participate. Our guide will look for passengers at their hotels at 07:45 a.m.. During the course of September to March, the Magellanic penguins visit us, they can be observed in the different stages of a ritual that they carry out with great care and dedication to reproduce; courtship, pair formation, nest building, hatching of eggs, hatchling, among others. Guanacos and other seabirds can also be seen with a typical Patagonian landscape in the background.. After visiting the reserve we will go to a meeting with elephant seals in Isla Escondida, a unique experience where you can enjoy these specimens at a very short distance, observing their behavior and enjoying the landscape that surrounds us.. Duration: Full day - Departure time: 7:45 am approx Arrival time: 6:00 pm approx. Itinerary: Punta Tombo -730hs to 8hs pick up at the hotels -We leave from Puerto Madryn to Isla Escondida. Where we will hike until we reach the elephant seals, we approach at a safe distance. -After the walk on the beaches of Hidden Island we will go to the Punta Tombo Natural area -We will enter the largest Magellanic penguin reserve in South America. -Lunch in the reserve (restaurant options) -Return to Puerto Madryn.
