Explore one of the most important and beautiful Imperial complexes in Europe. The Belvedere baroque palaces were built in the 18th century as the summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savoy. With this ticket, you'll get access to the world's largest collection of Gustav Klimt as well as masterpieces by Schiele, Kokoschka, Waldmüller, Renoir, Monet, and Van Gogh.Enter the Upper Belvedere, hosting Austrian art from the Middle Ages to the present day, and appreciate the grandeur of its Marble Hall. Visit Carlone Hall, the Palace Chapel, and Sala Terrena, the vaulted ceiling of which is supported by four powerful atlantes. Important info

Know in advance:

  • You can stay at the museum as long as you like
  • Upper Belvedere opening hours: Monday to Sunday 9.00am - 6.00pm
  • Photographing and filming in the museum is allowed for private, non-commercial purposes, without the use of flash, tripods or selfie sticks, as long as the integrity of the exhibits is guaranteed
  • For the upcoming facade renovation on the north and west sides of the Upper Belvedere, scaffolding will be erected. Over this, a scaffold net will be stretched, replicating the north and west sides of the exterior facade. The planned works are expected to commence on April 8, 2024. The entrance area will not be affected. This measure aims for completion by the fourth quarter of 2024

Show your voucher at the entrance of Upper Belvedere. Public transportation: Tram D - Station Schloss Belvedere / Train & S-Bahn, Tram 18, O - Station Quartier Belvedere / Underground U1 - Station Südtiroler Platz / Hauptbahnhof and walkway around 15 minutes. Bike parking is also available in the palace gardens (entrances Prinz-Eugen-Straße and Landstraßer Gürtel).
