With Cairns being the second Hipster capital of Australia, it's no wonder it is so cool ("hip"). But what makes it Hipster and why do Hipsters play such an important role in larger society?
We will explore the influential Hipster culture through food, cafes, street art, elite barbers, and vintage shops. Find out how much your life may be influenced by hipsters or if you're a closet hipster...!
The tour provides an overview of the global Hipster culture and how it has expanded in Cairns.
The importance and evolution of tattooing as art and a global trend, the emergence of graffiti as art, the food trends that hipsters have influenced (including the emergence of vegan food options), and the niche of elite barbers (and those hipster beards!) are all explored.
