If you were going to sum up this trip in three words, they'd be shake, bake and marinate. You'll begin your half-day experience with a 4x4 journey along Aruba's windward coast, then drop into Arikok National Park to stop at the Natural Pool where daredevils can jump in from the top of the rocks. The desert terrain and rocky cliff-side trails accompany the beginning of this 4x4 excursion. You'll soon see how the lie of the land in Arikok National Park couldn't be more different to the landscape of Oranjestad and Palm Beach. This is unrestrained Aruba. Cacti protrude from rocky outcrops and the divi-divi trees in this part of the island are contortionists, having been bent into shape by the wind.Your first stop will be the Natural Pool. The seawater here is corralled by rocks, making a natural swimming pool out of the water. Some people are content with just soaking here. The more daring, though, climb to the top of the rocks and jump off the top.
