What To Expect

Experience the best of the Uyuni region's wonders on this 3-day all-inclusive trip!Day 1: Uyuni – Colchani – Incahuasi Island – Ajencha
Your trip starts with a drive out to the Uyuni Salt Flats and a first stop at the haunting "Train Graveyard’. You'll see the first locomotives in Bolivia, and learn about their history. Now corroded from the strong salt winds, this is a great photo setting! Next, you'll visit the small settlement of Colchani where you'll find handicrafts made of salt, and textile art manufactured of llama and alpaca wool. Cruise along the vast white expanse of salt, wade through “Ojos de Agua Salada” and visit a hotel made completely out of salt. After a morning of exploration, lunch will be served near “Isla Incahuasi” (Fish Island). Then you'll have free time to hike to the top of the island and take fun perspective- and proportion-distorted photos! Top off your day with a beautiful sunset over the salt flats and a glass of wine. You'll have dinner and sleep in a hostel in Agencha town.Day 2: Chiguana Desert – Ollagüe – Andean Lagoons – Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve – Red Lagoon
You'll have breakfast at 7.00 am and drive to Galaxy Caves for your first stop. You'll visit the Chiguana Desert which is surrounded by volcanoes such as Ollagüe (5840m). Then, drive along the rocky road called “El Pasito Tuntun” to reach Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarcota Lagoons where you can spot flamingoes! After Lunch, you'll enter “Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve”, visit the Desert of Siloli at 4550m (the highest and driest in the world), and take a picture next to the ‘Rock tree'. Before arriving at the final destination, stop at the overlook point by the Red Lagoon and admire this intense red-colored lake. Stay the night at a hotel in Huayllajara.Day 3: Sol de Mañana Geyser – Hot Springs – Dali Desert – Green Lagoon – Rock Valley – San Cristobal – Uyuni
Get off to an early start around 5.00 am to visit the Sol de Mañana Geyser (5,000m) and walk next to fumaroles and steaming craters filled with boiling pots of mud at 150-200 Cº. Then, take a bath in an open-air Hot Springs at 35 Cº water! The tour continues at the Dali desert (where Salvador Dali found his inspiration) and to the Green, and white Lagoon (toxic copper water at the foot of the big Licancabur volcano at 6000m, a few kilometers from the Bolivia-Chile border). You'll head back to Uyuni passing by beautiful scenery and enjoying a picnic lunch along the roadside. On the way, pass by Rock Valley, Alota settlement, and San Cristobal Village where a baroque church and colonial paintings can be seen. Arrival in Uyuni at 6.30 pm.
