What To Expect

Fantastic adventure through Lençóis Maranhenses, one of the most unique regions in the globe. Surreal landscapes will be observed in the Brazilian "desert", full of crystalline lagoons. We will visit communities lost in time, untouched rivers, giant dunes and multicolored lagoons. We will get to know closely what it is like to live in an area where nature dictates the rules, experiencing the immemorial way of life of the natives. Traveler pickup is offered
Departure in the morning between 6:50 am and 7:30 am to Barreirinhas (260 km of paved road - average journey time is 4 am), stopping for a regional breakfast or snack (not included). Reception in Barreirinhas with instructions for the itinerary at Caetés Expedições headquarters. Then lunch (not included) in local self-service or in Vassouras (to be confirmed on the day of arrival, due to the travel time), boarding a speedboat to Atins, descending the Rio Preguiças (01h trip). During the tour we will stop at Vassouras, Caburé (Pequenos Lençóis Maranhenses) and Mandacaru. Disembark at Atins port and transfer to Pousada. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Atins with breakfast.
