Paraisópolis is the second largest favela in the city of São Paulo, with approximately a hundred thousand inhabitants. The artsy favela tour offers a unique contact with the people from the community accompanied by a person of the union of locals to guarantee our security and answer all the questions the visitor might have about the life in the favela as well as its history.
You will experience the authentic favela lifestyle and be inspired by the social projects led by strong and resilient local residents who are making a difference in the life of the future generations.
You will also visit a few local artists, such as Estevao, also known as "The Brazilian Gaudi"; and Berbela, who both have found a way to create beauty in such a chaotic environment, spreading hope for better days among the people from the community, and attracting visitors from all over the world to see the creations with their own eyes.
