What To Expect
The Basel BeerTour takes you on an excursion into the local craft beer scene. Craft beer is becoming ever more popular in many countries, with small breweries sprouting up all over. However, this popular beverage was being enjoyed in Basel long before it began to be referred to as such: at the Fischerstube, where craft beer has been served since 1974. The self-guided tour thus begins at this pioneer of Basel craft beer, takes a short detour into the world of international beer specialties, and finishes up with a visit to an innovative and experimental brewpub. Seven different beers in tasting sizes await you. Cheers – and have fun discovering the world of craft beer!

Important info
- The tour can be done from Tuesday to Saturday (except holidays)
- This tour is suitable for people aged 16 years and over
- The tour lasts at least 2 hours (on your own / without a guide) and you cover a distance of 2.1 kilometers on foot. It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes
- Participation in the BeerTour is not a guarantee of a seat in the respective pubs. You may have to wait for an empty seat, or you may have to taste the beers at the bar. In any case, please reserve a table at the Fischerstube restaurant in advance (you will find the contact details on your booking confirmation)
- Please note that the capacity of the partner establishments does not allow large groups (more than six people) to book the tour
- If it is not possible for you to complete the tour (or visit the individual restaurants) on the booked day, you can also choose another day
- This activity ends at the Volta Bräu at Voltastrasse 30 in Basel
