What To Expect
We pick you up around 9AM and start driving for around 2 hours towards the starting point of our hike.
After 2 hours of hiking through a valley we reach the foot of San Jose Vulcano.
After having lunch we gain 500 vertical meters to reach the Plantat Refugio, a place constructed over 50 years ago to hunt wildlife in the area.
From here we go to a viewpoint and get to know more aboutt the wildlife and vulcano.
We can choose to sleep in the refugio ( shelter ) or put up some comfortable tents. Sunsets at the refugio are spectacular.
In the morning we walk down the same path again towards our car. From the parking we will drive another 40 minutes in the canyon towards the Colina Hot Springs, where we enjoy our last lunch together and soak in the termal waters of San Jose Vulcano.
Our drive back to Santiago will take around two and a half more hours through the Cajon Del Maipo. We can stop regularly for pictures of waterfalls and condors that will cross our road.

Important info
Not wheelchair accessible. Service animals allowed. Near public transportation. Not recommended for travelers with back problems. Not recommended for pregnant travelers. No heart problems or other serious medical conditions. Travelers should have a strong physical fitness level. This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund. This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate. Confirmation will be received at time of booking
