See the most important buildings along the middle axis of the palace, then admire two courtyards in the west chamber. The tour will end at the Imperial Garden, you can choose to explore more of the Forbidden City on your own, or your tour guide will advise where to catch a taxi to your next destination.

* Security checks at Tiananmen Square are strict. If waiting exceeds 1 hour, consider an alternative: taking a bus past the square. Sweltering heat risks heat-related illnesses
* In case that Forbidden City tickets are sold-out, due to the real-name system, you might need to collect your tickets with your passports at the ticket office under the guide's assistance
