With your guide, learn how Pingyao played an important role in the economic development of Shanxi during the Ming and Qing dynasties.Founded during the Western Zhou Dynasty (1046 - 771 BC), Pingyao Old Town is one of the four best-preserved ancient cities in China. During your visit, your guide will introduce you to the history, culture and architecture of the old town, which was declared a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1997. Later, take a break and enjoy a delicious lunch of traditional local dishes. Afterwards, visit the Confucius Temple and walk through the God Temple before exploring one of the best preserved ancient walls of Chia.
