Today, the palace and park are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Next to the New Garden for almost five decades was Military Town No. 7 - a forbidden town. It was one of the most important intelligence sites of the Soviets during the Cold War. Among other things, the German headquarters of the KGB's military counterintelligence and a notorious remand prison were located here. On the tour you will learn more about the work and life in this Forbidden City.Lastly, you will go to the Glienicke Bridge, which became world-famous as the Bridge of Spies. Until the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the bridge was a strictly screened off area.
