Follow your guide on a journey back in time to a period when the town faced numerous challenges.Witch trials occurred in Siegburg during the 17th century due to prevailing religious superstitions, fear of the unknown during the Thirty Years' War, social tensions, political climate allowing persecution, personal vendettas, and influence of witch-hunting manuals. This led to wrongful accusations and tragic consequences for those accused of witchcraft.
