What To Expect
Prepare yourself to be amazed! This is a hiking tour of a remote section of the backcountry of Cajas National Park, and we are the only operator that offers it. You will be in awe as you are surrounded by mountains, cliffs, lakes, rivers, grasslands, and unique flora. We will observe different ecological zones as we move through different elevations and landscapes.
This tour has been carefully designed to start from the highest elevation in the park, and hike downhill for an easier, more enjoyable experience.

Important info
Not wheelchair accessible. Infants must sit on laps. No heart problems or other serious medical conditions. Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level. Guests should have good physical health; intermediate hiking level.. Guests should take at least 2 days in Cuenca to acclimate to the Hugh elevation before taking this tour.. This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund. This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate. Confirmation will be received at time of booking
What's included
Private transportation. Coffee and/or Tea - We are happy to provide coca tea, a medicinal drink used by the indigenous people of the Andes. Please inform us ahead of time if you would like this provision.
