Churute Mangroves canoe and trekking tour

Discover the Churute Mangroves Ecological Reserve, one of the most important ecological reserves in Ecuador. This reserve is also a refuge for many species of fauna, some of them threatened, such as the canclón, an aquatic bird that lives in the lagoon of the same name.You'll also spot the coast crocodile, which has already disappeared in other areas of the coast. Due to the diversity and great extension of aquatic environments that the reserve protects, in 1990 it was declared a 'Ramsar Site', international recognition for wetlands of great importance.You'll take a Canoe ride (40 minutes) to see the formation of the largest mangroves on the Pacific coast of South America. After this, you'll take the 'Howler Road', and enjoy a 1.4km trek through the tropical dry forest where you'll spot monkeys and typical birds of the area.
