Early in the morning, you'll head to the Itchimbia hill, from where you'll enjoy the great view of the Historic Center of Quito from the hill's summit at 2900m high.Itchimbia Park includes 6,489m of green areas and 1,200m of community spaces. It has 54 hectares with about 400 varieties of flowers, 40 species of birds, and one hectare of wetland. Its main attraction is the Cultural Center or Glass House, its iron and zinc structure was imported from Hamburg.You'll continue along Avenida 12 de Octubre, where you'll visit the Legislative Palace with the mural of Midero (called The History of the Country), the Alameda Park with its Astronomical Observatory (the second oldest in South America), the monument to Simón Bolívar, the Central Bank of Ecuador and the Basilica of Quito.Next, you'll reach the heart of the colonial zone at Plaza de la Independencia, with a walk to the Cathedral of Quito, the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, El Sagrario Church, La Compañía Church, the Monastery and the Church of San Francisco, finishing at El Panecillo, a small hill where you can enjoy a complete view of the city.After this, you'll enjoy a panoramic drive up sixteen miles north of Quito, where the Equator Line Latitude 0 ° 0'0 "is located.
