Mount Sinai (or Mount Moses) is the most famous mountain in the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt.
According to the Bible, God appeared to Moses on this mountain and gave the Ten Commandments.
On this mountain there is also the Monastery of St Catherine.
It is located at an altitude of 1570 meters in the valley between the mountains of Musa, Catherine and Safsaf.
The monastery was built during the reign of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian (527-565).
Not wheelchair accessible. Not recommended for travelers with back problems. Not recommended for pregnant travelers. No heart problems or other serious medical conditions. Most travelers can participate. This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
