SAN SEBASTIAN ON FOOT

Explore the delightful town of San Sebastian on foot and get to know the local area with your knowledgeable guide. History will come alive as you stroll the enchanting streets of the old town, home to a mural representing an 18th century battle. You'll pass by La Casa De Colon – a home where Christopher Columbus spent quite a bit of time before leaving Europe to accidently ‘discover' America while looking for India. Continuing the walking tour, you'll stumble across the oldest church on the island – Iglesia de la Asuncion, which is where Columbus and his crew attended mass before setting sail. As you walk through the peaceful town, you'll get to see the many Canarian-style houses and its sun-bleached pastel-painted buildings, along with some of its more modern buildings. After the walk, you'll make a pit-stop for a coffee break where you'll be served a choice of tea, coffee or orange juice, along with some traditional pastries. Then, it's time for the short journey back to the ship. Or, stay in the town and make your own way back – the choice is yours.
