What To Expect
This 9-hour hiking tour will take you to the central part of the island, near the highest peak of Gran Canaria – Pico de las Nieves (1957 m above sea level).Here you'll be amazed by the view of the neighboring Roque Nublo, the east and south coast of the island and, if the visibility is good, you'll be able to spot Pico de Teide (3718 m above sea level). Enjoy the panorama of the surrounding villages and discover rock formations and forests covered with Canary pine.After hiking you'll have lunch at a local restaurant where you can try regional dishes such as the mojo and alioli sauces, the famous papas arrugadas and more.Route details: distance: 10km ↑ 400m ascent ↓400m descent. Maximum height: 1917m; minimum height: 1650m.Difficulty level: easy-mediumIn the period May 15 - September 30, the "Peaks of Gran Canaria" route will be carried out according to the following characteristics: Distance: approx. 7km, Ascent/Descent: 250-300m, Time: approx. 3,5h
