With its whitewashed houses and flower-lined streets, it comes as little surprise it's been voted one of Spain's prettiest and tidiest towns. Visit its Aloe Vera Museum, to learn a thing or two about the benefits of this Canary classic, before rounding off the day with a visit to the unique wine region of La Geria. Thanks to its mineral-rich volcanic soils, wine cultivation here is huge. Drop into Bodegas Rubicon, where you'll tour the winery and learn how the terrior influences the wines.

Get a good look at Lanzarote's lava-scarred landscape and volcanoes from above with this thrilling10-minute parasail experience.
