What To Expect

2021 saw the creation of a new volcanic crater near La Palma. The volcano previously known as Cumbre Vieja erupted, completely changing the landscape west of the city. Hiking 5km on the newly christened Tajogaite – cracked mountain – you'll almost reach the crater. From here, awesome views of the lava flows and the Aridane Valley open up.
