After catching the bus in San Sebastián, we will start this path in the town of Zestoa; where we will visit the old town, its streets and understand the relationships between history, landscape, and nature. Then, we will continue along the Urola River on a very simple path with incredible views and admiring the rural landscape of the area. After a steep incline to reach the Ibañarrieta neighborhood and as a reward for our effort, we will visit my favorite Sagardotegi (cider house), Ekain.
In the cider house, you will learn how they make their cider, juice, and vinegar, in a more environmentally responsible way. In the cider house, we will try typical dishes such as cod omelette and pecorino cheese with quince. In the cider house, you can buy their products directly and without intermediaries.
We will end this experience with a one-hour tour to the medieval town of Zumaia, where I will be happy to suggest places to eat or stay or show you how to return to your hotel after this experience.
