Every year in March Valencia plays host to a world renowned festival - Las Fallas. The city celebrates Saint Joseph the carpenter by building giant sculptures, placed on almost every street corner. After 4 days of glory the statues are burned, saying goodbye to the old (winter) and welcoming the new (spring).
On this tour, you will gain inside knowledge about the history of Fallas, the clever political messages hidden within the sculptures and what the festival means to the community. You will spend time with local Valencians who have a passion for Fallas and have a chance to join in their celebrations.
You will also get an exclusive welcome to a members only Fallas clubhouse where you will be able to immerse yourself in their world and share in their festive spirit. A portion of all ticket sales will be donated to the club, so not only will you get to see a part of Fallas not available to most people, but you will also help to keep the tradition alive for future years.
