What To Expect
Take a ride through the winter wonderland in a warm carriage on the famous Apukka Snowtrain and head out in the wilderness, far away from artificial lights to search for the Northern Lights.Cross the beautiful snowy landscape to reach a traditional, Lappish “kota”; a Finnish hut deep in the wilderness. Here you'll gather around the blazing bonfire and enjoy some light snacks and hot drinks as you get warm. This trip is picture worthy so bring your camera to capture the moment. The Aurora expert will help you with your camera settings to best capture the Northern Lights.This excursion is completely focused on the Northern Lights, but you'll also get to experience the beauty of the pure snowy forest, darkness and serenity. As the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, nobody can give a 100% guarantee tthat they will be seen, but this trip presents an excellent chance.

Important info
- Please meet your guide at the Apukka Resort sales office 40 minutes prior to your activity's scheduled starting time for your transfer. If you arrive at the Apukka resort with your own transfer, please come 15 minutes prior to your activity's scheduled starting time
- As the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, we can never fully guarantee that they’ll be out on the skies
- Please bring warm clothing, preferably wool, in layers that you can fit on top of each other is the way to go here. A beanie, a warm scarf and warm socks will keep you warm as you are spending time
- This activity is suitable for infants aged 3 and under travelling with an adult, please select their free ticket at checkout
- This activity is suitable for pregnant women
