What To Expect

Your morning will start with a guided visit of the Chateau de Chenonceau, known as the 'Ladies' Castle'. Chenonceau is now the most popular chateau in the Loire Valley and this is due to its amazing architecture and grounds. Discover its impressive collection of furniture, tapestries and master paintings. Then, the tour will continue with tasting some matured Loire Valley vintage wine and you will have the privilege to taste 3 local wines. Enjoy free time for lunch in Amboise. During the first part of the afternoon, go on a guided tour of the Amboise Castle. Impressively located on top of a cliff looking over the Loire River, the royal castle of Amboise was built by two kings: Charles VIII and Francis I. You will be taken through the council room, the banquet room, the king’s bedroom and the gothic royal chapel where you will see the tomb of Leonardo da Vinci. For the second part of the afternoon, your guide will accompany you to the Clos Lucé and tell you fascinating stories about this manor.
