The whisky kept the ancient cultures warm throughout the winter.On this tour, you'll explore the history and beauty of these three Scottish icons as you get the chance to taste whisky in the area it's distilled, view lovely lochs, gorgeous glens and magnificent mountains. You'll even get to learn the history of a magnificent ruined cathedral as you discover a diverse range of beautiful and iconic Scottish locations.Travelling north from Edinburgh, you'll watch as the scenery changes from rolling farmland to forested hills and mountains. On the banks of the River Tay, you'll find the gorgeous cathedral town of Dunkeld where you'll have the chance to explore the architecturally fascinating cathedral and the quaint streets of this picturesque village. Then, it's time to head on to the Hermitage, where you can take a fantastic woodland walk leading up to the Black Linn Falls before going for a stroll around Pitlochry. You'll take in the view from the Queen's View overlooking Loch Tummel and have a quick break at the waterside village of Kenmore before arriving at Dewar's Aberfeldy Distillery. Here, you'll discover the secret to how Scotland's national drink is made and even have a wee dram of the 'water of life' before making the trip back to Edinburgh.

  • Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes prior to departure
  • Children aged 5 to 15 must be accompanied by an adult
  • Children under 5 are not permitted on this tour
  • The weather in Scotland is often cold and wet, please dress appropriately and wear suitable shoes
  • For safety reasons, visitors must wear closed-toed shoes. Appropriate footwear is required for entrance to Dewar's Distillery
  • From November, Dewar's Distillery is closed on selected days throughout the winter. On these days, there is an alternative visit to Glenturret distillery
