Starting on the historic Royal Mile, we'll delve into the castle's history, from its origins as a medieval fortress to its transformation into a royal palace and military stronghold. Along the way, you'll learn of the castle's many treasures, including the Honours of Scotland (the country's crown jewels), the Stone of Destiny, and the famous One O'clock Gun.
But the tour doesn't stop there. We'll also explore some of the lesser-known parts of the castle, including the Western Panorama and Hospital Square, where The National War Museum of Scotland is now housed. And with our extended 2-hour tour, you'll have plenty of time to soak in the history and atmosphere of this iconic Scottish landmark.

Luggage or large bags over 30L are not permitted in the Castle and there are no left luggage facilities nearby. This experience DOES NOT start at Edinburgh Castle. Please meet your guide at 379-381 High Street, Royal Mile next to the Statue of David Hume. This experience requires good weather.
