Mind the gap and welcome aboard this private small group tour of the London Underground! You'll start at Paddington station and your tour guide will take you to some of London’s most famous, deepest, oldest, most beautiful and peculiar underground stations.As part of the walking tour you will learn about the evolution of the London underground system when it was founded in 1863. You will also get to understand how the different tube lines used to be owned by rival companies and find out why we now have electric trains instead of steam engines.With so many fascinating aspects to the story of the London Underground such as the design of the stations, engineering principles, its places in popular culture and of course its place within the story of modern London are all discussed throughout the tour.
