Travel to one of the largest seal colonies in the UK! The Atlantic seal colony draws visitors from all over the world, particularly between November and March, when the seals come ashore to breed. There are thousands of seals and their pups stretching for as far as the eye can see! The whole walk is in the Broads National Park – one of fifteen national parks in the UK. To enjoy the best wildlife experience and flexibility, we'll travel in a small group, with a maximum of 14 participants only.
Trip highlights:
• Watch seals and their young from a close distance at Horsey Gap, home to one of the biggest colonies of Atlantic seals in Britain.
• Walk along the top of the sand dunes and enjoy stunning panoramic views across the North Sea.
• Take a gentle stroll over the vast open expanse of Winterton Beach – a Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest.
• See the spectacular Horsey Windpump – the youngest and largest windpump in the Norfolk Broads.
Not wheelchair accessible. Near public transportation. Not recommended for travelers with back problems. Not recommended for pregnant travelers. No heart problems or other serious medical conditions.
