Join us for half-day guided small group walk through York's secret snickleways in search of its famous alehouses and pubs. After meeting in the shadow of the majestic York Minster we pop for a pint in 3 or 4 historic pubs before finishing at a modern riverside tap room. Whether supping pints where the Rolling Stones once sung, or following in the ghostly last footsteps of English Civil War soldiers we enjoy a wide selection of inns, alehouses and taverns along the way. From visiting the oldest pub in York, to finishing at its newest brewery taproom we explore the hidden snickets, quiet courtyards and elusive alleys to unravel the liquid history of this historic city, whilst enjoying a leisurely sprinkling of quirky and light-hearted history including a few ghoulish tales along the way. The first drink is on the house, with all further drinks are at own expense so that you can indulge as much or as little as your desire. Cheers!
