Description

During this 4-hour, self-guided tour you will have the once-in-a-lifetime chance to explore the well-preserved site where the Olympic Games were born. Admire where the ancient temples and famous statues would have been standing, as well as observe where the ancient athletes used to prepare for the different sporting events.After visiting the archaeological site, you will reach a famous estate near the city of Olympia – the winery “Mercouri Estate”. The winery was founded in 1860 by Theodore Mercouri from Alexandria (Egypt). In 1870, he imported the Italian variety Refosco from Friuli and planted his first vineyard. The flagship wines are the red wine Ktima Mercouri from the Refosco (85%) and Mavrodaphne (15%) varieties, and the white wine Foloi from the Roditis variety.Don’t miss the chance to discover more about Greek wines and explore the amazing ancient site of Olympia!

  • Please note that if you want to buy an infant (0-4) ticket, you have to choose between two options. The free option does not require a seat reservation, while the €20 option requires a seat reservation for the infant

Children and young people up to the age of 25, from EU member-states, upon presentation of their ID card or passport for verification of their age and country of origin. Children up to the age of 5, from non-European Union countries, upon presentation of their passport for verification of their age and country of origin. People over 25 years, being in secondary education (evening schools, second-chance schools) and in vocational schools from EU member states and countries of the European economic Area, upon presentation of attendance certificate bearing evidence of its duration.   • Guests must be able to get in and out of transportation. This tour is not recommended for those guests with any mobility issues as you will be walking over uneven surfaces and varied ground conditions. This tour is not wheelchair accessible.
  • If your ship makes an itinerary change, and you arrive at a scheduled port on an alternate date, please do not assume your tour has been canceled. Your tour will be scheduled for the new date
