Gate of Athena Archegetis: This monumental Doric gateway, built in 11 BC, served as the western entrance to the Roman Agora. Dedicated to Athena, the city's patron goddess, it features four columns of Pentelic marble and inscriptions commemorating its construction. Tower of the Winds: An octagonal marble structure dating back to the 2nd century BC, the Tower of the Winds functioned as a horologium (timepiece) and weather station. It housed a water clock and sundials, and its frieze depicts personifications of the eight wind deities. East Propylon: A simpler Ionic gateway located on the eastern side of the Agora, providing access to the area. Flexible and Independent Experience – Perfect for travelers who prefer freedom over group tours. It is not possible to skip the security lines. There could be a line at the entrance and is mandatory for all visitors.
