Your driver-guide zigzags along dusty dirt roads up to the lighthouse and on through the area of Marathi. You'll zoom past the dam and Panormos beach and call by the bay of Agios Sostis. Drive through Ano Mera and you'll arrive at Palekastro, where you can see the ruins of the Venetian castle, do some exploring and see the nearby abandoned mine.Continue along the south coast through the green area of Halara and you'll take a well-earned pit stop at Agrari Beach, where you can cool off with a dip in the sea. Rounding off the tour is a photo stop at the old castle above the city, for the stunning views over the Aegean. All in all, this is one action-packed day.
