The tour’s first stop is the historic winery of the Monastery of Tzagarolon, set in the picturesque Akrotiri peninsula of Chania. The temple features admirable Byzantine architecture, a folklore museum, and an ancient library of rarities.
After a wonderful and guided stroll through the monastery's vineyards, you will taste 4 select wines, olive oils and vinegars from the monastery's production while admiring and learning about the wine equipment of the past on display.
Enjoy a picturesque drive to a family-owned winery to learn about their wines, history, and philosophy. Follow your guide in a complete tour to understand the full process of winemaking, from the grape to the bottle.
