What To Expect

Located in the middle of the subtropical forest, in the Southeast area of Guatemala, this is one of the easiest-to-climb volcanoes in the country. It will only take us 1 hour and a half to get to its emerald-blueish lagoon in its crater.

This short hike will give you a breathtaking scenic route to the top, and when you think it cannot get better... you will feel at peace with the nice humid forest weather of the crater lagoon.

Service animals allowed. Specialized infant seats are available. Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries. Not recommended for pregnant travelers. Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health. Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness. Swimming in the lagoon is allowed just for people with swimming skills. Please bring comfortable shoes, hat, sunglasses, sun screen and mosquito repellent.
