The tour includes exploration of The Diocletian's Palace and The Old Town of Split with visits to The Synagogue & Jewish Ghetto.
We kick-off in style with the magnificent Diocletian's Palace in the heart of The Old Town and travel back to the ancient Roman Empire. We take a step into the rich cultural heritage of this vibrant city with its numerous palaces, quirky narrow streets and lively markets and artisan shops.
We will visit the Substructures of the palace built by the Roman emperor Diocletian in the 3rd century and from there we continue to the upper part of this magnificent retirement villa of the emperor Diocletian.
Later we go to the Synagogue and learn about this small, but immensely important Jewish community. Many prominent members of this community played a significant role in the economical and historical development of Split.
In the Synagogue we meet a member of Jewish community who shares his stories of the Jewish heritage in the city of Split.
