What To Expect

Rugged, rural and not on the tourist trail, eastern Bali is best explored in a 4x4. Journey through the jungle on an off-road tour that takes you to salak plantation first. Learn how to plant and harvest this exotic fruit, and you'll get to sample some, too. Then, after a typical Balinese lunch, it's back in the 4x4 and on to Mt Agung for knockout views over Indonesia.
