Leave the city of Eilat behind and travel southwest to a camel ranch between the mountains! Begin with a moderate 45-minute hike along a wadi scattered with Acacia trees. After a short break, start the ascent to the summit of Mount Zefahot, a mild hour-long circular climb.
Upon reaching the summit, enjoy a short break and take in the spectacular view. From the mountain peak, the Gulf of Aqaba appears in its full glory, surrounded on all sides by the towering reddish-granite desert mountains, a quadripoint of four countries, Israel, Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.
The sun will start setting while atop of summit, making the view even more majestic, as the whole desert bathes in red and purple hues.
When you hike down, you will have some free time to bathe in the cool waters of the Red Sea, where colorful fish are swimming!
Hike in the Eilat Mountains. Climb up Mount Zefahot, and take in the view of four different countries. Witness the incredible view of the Gulf of Aqaba. Visit the beaches at the Red Sea
