If so, then this full-day guided tour to Jericho and Bethlehem is for you with top sites (and hidden ones too): the Inn of the Good Samaritan, Church of the Nativity, Crusader Church of Saint Catherine, Shepherds Field and many more.Staring from Herzliya city, you'll pass by the Inn of the Good Samaritan (mentioned in Luke 10:29-37) and continue through the Biblical wilderness of the Judean Desert. Then, you'll arrive to explore Jericho which is 258 meters below sea level, and hear about the story featured in both the New and Old Testament. Next, your journey takes you back towards Jerusalem and the Judean Mountains to Bethlehem. A place which was the home of Jesse, King David's father and where Jesus was born. From Manger Square, you'll enter through a small door into the Church of the Nativity and learn the story of the church over the grotto where Jesus was born. Within the church, you'll marvel at the star that marks the spot where Jesus was born and an altar to the three Wise Men. A visit to the Crusader Church of Saint Catherine to see the underground grotto where Saint Jerome painstakingly translated the Bible from Hebrew to Latin, and a stop at the Shepherds Field where an Angel of the Lord appeared to shepherds on Christmas night completes your experience.
