What To Expect

In this tour, you will explore Nazareth's historic center- visit the market and its well-known sites, while exploring the vibrant scene of the local and unique work built around Fauzi Azar. Kicking off your tour at Fauzi Azar, a 200-year-old hostel of a long-standing Nazarene family that retains the family's father's name. The place became the first guest house in Nazareth's Old City in 2005, as a result of Jewish-Arab cooperation. Then, you will go to the market to see street vendors, artists, fashion designers, and carpenters side-by-side in a lovely mix of old and new, traditional and contemporary. Continue walking, you will reach Mary’s Spring Square - the historical center of the city where the holy spring for Christians and Muslims is located. Then, you will see the Albabor spice mill, where spices are produced in the traditional way. To finish off your tour, you will pass the St. Gabriel’s Orthodox Church, the Annunciation Church, and the White Mosque - the three most important religious centers in the city and visit the oldest café in Israel.
