Hatu Peak, the second highest in Shimla district, India, rises 3,400 m (11,152 ft) above sea level. It's a lush paradise enveloped by majestic mountains. Located 71 km from Shimla on the Shimla-Rampur Highway, it boasts a well-maintained road until Narkanda, 8 km from the peak. Atop Hatu Peak is the sacred Hatu Mata Temple dedicated to Mandodari, King Ravana's wife. The area is surrounded by a temperate forest, rich in Conifers, Oaks, Maples, Populus, Aesculus, Corylus, and Holly species.
