What To Expect
Once you get picked up from the hotel, your first destination for the day would be Fort St. George which is home to quite a few other architectural gems of the era, such as St. Mary’s Church and Wellesley House. Your next destination is the mesmerizing San Thome Cathedral; built way back in the 16th century, by the Portuguese. After feasting your eyes upon the architectural brilliance of the colonial power, prepare for a change of scenery, as you proceed to the highly revered Kapaleeshwarar Temple. Then, you will also visit the famous Government Museum and Art Gallery, which is considered to be one of India’s finest museums. It’s a treasure trove of priceless historical articles, especially bronze artifacts. Cap off the day with a visit to the unforgettable Marina Beach in the evening. While here, you will also get the chance to feast your eyes upon the beautiful sunset at Marina beach. Finally, it will be time to head back to your hotel.
