What To Expect

Kunjapuri Sunrise tour is a customized tour in the upper foothills of Himalayas giving you a 360 degree view of Tehri district.
After 1 hour in car we reach the parking spot of Kunjapuri temple and start our hike of 300 stairs which take 15 mins to reach the top of the hill.

Because of its altitude this location gives amazing view of sunrise from behind the Eastern Himalayan mountains. Also you witness 4 major ice capped peaks in northeastern direction including Swarga Rohini, Gangotri, Banderpunch and Chaukhamba.

After the mesmerizing sunrise and temple visit we have breakfast on our way down from the temple with a brief story telling and description about the temple and goddess Parvati whom this temple is dedicated to.

After breakfast we head towards a special spot on the southern part of temple premises which gives us a clear view of river Ganga spreading its arms in the gangetic plains.

Later we take the car back to the starting point.
