Rishikesh: Neelkanth Mahadev Trek

The temple trek starts in the morning, after breakfast, you will be picked up from your location at the scheduled time by private transport along with an expert English-speaking trekking guide. Your drive from Rishikesh to Neelkanth Temple which requires at least an hour zig-zag road journey along the bank of the Ganges up to 5 km and then along the Helen River up to the Shiva temple. En route you visit the famous Patna waterfalls. The driver drops you near the temple and the accompanying guide will take you to make a visit to Neelkanth Temple ( normally crowded ). After the temple visit, you start trekking for 3 km uphill then all the way back to Rishikesh, there is only a downhill through Rajaji National Park. En route, you have a break, where you can spend some time on your own at Mauni Baba Gufa & Ashram. Later, in the late afternoon, you will be back to your hotel, Ashram, or guesthouse on a walk with your guide.
