On this easy kayaking tour on the Sólheimajökull Glacier Lagoon, you will leave the sightseeing crowds behind and take in the beauty of the outlet glacier while on a kayak.You will be equipped with a dry suit and your expert kayak guide will show you the paddling technique needed for the stable sit-on-top kayaks. The calm glacier lagoon is perfect for first-time kayaking and the views certainly don't disappoint. From the West (Reykjavík): 6 km (3.7 mi) after Skógar you turn left (just after the bridge) onto road 221 and then follow road 221 for about 5 km (3 mi) to the Sólheimajökull parking area. (Expected 20 - 30 min for this part). From the East (Vík): 3 km (1.9 mi) after you pass road 222, you turn right (just before the bridge) onto road 221 and then follow road 221 for about 5 km to the Sólheimajökull parking area. (Expected 20 - 30 min. for this part).
