Your adventure begins as soon as you're collected from your accommodation. You'll travel along Iceland's main road before venturing into remote wilderness areas where the landscape transforms dramatically. The journey takes you past impressive mountains with glaciers dominating the scenery all around. You'll arrive at the base of Kötlujökull glacier, where a breathtaking sight awaits: layers of differently coloured ice creating striped patterns across the glacier face, each representing thousands of years of geological history. Your guide will share insights about the glacier formation and the ice cave you'll soon explore after a short hike.On the way back to the capital, your group will stop t two magnificent waterfalls. First is Skógafoss, situated in the Skógar region and known for inspiring numerous Icelandic folklore tales.
