This tour offers you the opportunity to hike the amazing glacial tongue from Sólheimajökull glacier. You will start the tour meeting your guide at Sólheimajökull´s parking lot, where you will be provided all the tools you will need: ice axes, crampons and safety lines.Then its time to head to the glacier, where you will have time to gear up with your crampons and the hike starts! Witness some breathtaking panoramic views, as well as crevasses, ridges and even an ice wall where you will have an introduction to ice climbing and will be able to experience it first hand.

Where you'll meet
Meet at Sólheimajökull Parking Lot. Distance from Reykjavik approx. 164 km/101 mi. GPS 63°31'00.48"N, 19°22'00.12W(WGS84). Please keep a lookout for the yellow school bus, it should be the first thing you see upon arrival in the parking lot. Your certified glacier guide will be meeting you there for the tour.
