What To Expect
The Silfra Fissure is one of Iceland’s most desirable snorkeling spots. On the surface, this narrow channel of blue water meanders through a giant lava field, beneath active volcanoes and sprawling glaciers, next to the founding site of the world's oldest existing parliament. Below, supernatural shades of blue, perfect visibility and incredible rock formations make up a magical sub-aquatic chasm.From the comfort of a warmly insulated drysuit, enjoy the feeling of ultimate serenity and weightlessness as you drift peacefully along with the lazy current, awe-stricken at the spectacle in the depths below! Frequently rated as one of the world's top ten dive sites, the Silfra offers up to 100 meters of underwater visibility and is located on top of the separation between Europe and America!

Important info
- Participants have to sign a waiver before undertaking all trips stating that they realize that all outdoor activities carry an inherent risk
- The minimum age for participation is 12 years
- Tour difficulty: 3/5; moderate
- Warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants, headwear and gloves. Good hiking shoes are recommended.
- Participants need to be comfortable in the water and be able to swim. You are unable to participate if you are pregnant, due to the small risk of cold water entering the suit.
- Weight limit: 45-120 kg
- Height limit: 150 cm-200 cm
- Age Limit: 12 years old minimum. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian booked on the same tour.
- English: It is important that you can both understand and communicate in English in order to participate in the tour

Meeting Point
You need to be at the Silfra car park 15 minutes prior to your tour starting time. The meeting point is in the parking lot by Silfra. When driving from Reykjavík on road 36 you will first see a Visitor Centre and viewpoint for Þingvellir on your right-hand side keep on going and drive further for 5-10 min on road 36 and you will see the Information Center on your left-hand side, take a turn to the right towards the national park area. Drive forward for another 3-4 minutes until you see the parking lot on the right side and vehicles marked with Arctic Adventures logos.
